TOADSTOOL SHADOW
Toadstool Shadow is a family-friendly folk band that mixes music and humor. Their songs seamlessly synthesize the serious, the silly, and the surreal. They have performed at the Ohio Renaissance Festival, the Cleveland Fringe Festival, the Lancaster Festival, and dozens of other Ohio festivals. The Ohio Arts Council recently awarded Toadstool Shadow's Chris Till a prestigious 2025-2026 Artist Opportunity grant for his work with the band.
(Depending on the event, Toadstool Shadow can perform four different musical acts: an America 250 red, white, and blue cowboy & cowgirl quartet; a gnome duo; a Viking duo; and a pirate duo.)
Toadstool Shadow are emerging artists who are much more than interesting and who, stubbornly, insist on confirming that we continue living a melodic moment." -Pepe Prieto, Hotel Arizona
[Toadstool Shadow is] a fun, distinctly different project… The subject matter is unusual, but that in no way diminishes the quality of the material. Till is a talented songwriter, providing strong vocal melodies and musical hooks." -Don Thrasher, Dayton [Ohio] Daily News
Toadstool Shadow is the most wholesome and perfect band." -Loren St. Clair (software engineer and bassist for 1980s punk band, Political Justice?)
Toadstool Shadow is one of the most creative bands I've heard in a long time." -Langen Goldstien, Girl at the Rock Shows
Toadstool Shadow is unique, endearing, and highly entertaining." - Dr. "Crazy" Joe Tritschler, guitarist and engineering professor
