TOADSTOOL SHADOW
Toadstool Shadow is an Ohio music & arts collective that is creating a three-part fairy tale opera about a visionary rabbit.
Toadstool Shadow is finally back, but not in black, in full color in fact, with a new music video. It's a new genre: half documentary and half music video. Titled Lost Movie Palaces of Southern Ohio, the first half details the grand movie palaces of the 1920s, focusing on Washington Court House, Ohio's defunct Fayette Theatre. The second half is a droll, but heartfelt, music video for Toadstool Shadow's new song "If You Were the One for Me." Sung in perfect two-part harmony, it's a love song about fate and anxiety. Musically, it sounds like the Brothers Grimm started a psych-folk band and time traveled to the 1920s.
