On the full moon of July 2020, Toadstool Shadow's debut album Rainbow Nights was revealed unto the world. One of its songs, "Astral Minutes," is in regular rotation on WYSO radio's Excursions show.
To promote the album, Toadstool Shadow buried a treasure chest in their hometown of Yellow Springs, Ohio. The treasure chest contained antique silver coins, rubies, emeralds, jewelry, a Cadillac hood ornament, and more. Everybody who bought the album got the first of 12 clues to the buried treasure. On the full moon of August 1, 2020, a pair of treasure hunters from Springfield, Ohio finally located the treasure chest. It was buried on the only island in Yellow Springs: the small street island in the middle of Center College Street.
In physical form, the Rainbow Nights CD is for sale at Tom's Market in downtown Yellow Springs, Ohio and Toadstool Shadow Bandcamp. The CD comes with a four-page foldout lyric sheet that includes the Rainbow Nights story. Rainbow Nights can also be downloaded at Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, and all music download websites. Our favorite download site is Bandcamp (because we get most of the money you pay, instead of the download site).
